Aug 16 at noon: Seeing Drugs with Dr. Dan Weimer and at 7: People's University Class 5

Wheeling Jesuit University history professor Dr. Dan Weimer will be at Lunch With Books at the Ohio County public Library on Tuesday August 8 at noon to discuss his new book: Seeing Drugs: Modernization, Counterinsurgency, and U.S. Narcotics Control in the Third World, 1969-1976 (New Studies in U.S. Foreign Relations), which explores the U.S. government’s drug policy in the Third World, specifically, the dawn of the modern drug war during the 1970s.
