On Tuesday July 6 at noon, local historian Kate Quinn will be at Lunch With Books at the Ohio County Public Library to present, “Sweethearts, Soldiers, Sermons, & Surgeons: Wheeling Stories of the Civil War.” Patrons will hear stories of some of Wheeling's Civil War heroes who were eyewitnesses to history. From love stories to humorous tales of meeting President Lincoln, the program will inform and delight those interested in the human side of history. Lunch With Books programs are free and open to the public. Patrons are invited to bring a bag lunch and free beverages are provided. Please call the library at 304-232-0244 for more information.
